Description
Getting Through the Hard Times
This is the woods around Clear Lake, part of the Willamette National forest. During the winter, if you walk through the woods, you often will see fresh evidence of the season's harsher impact: downed trees, broken branches strewn over trails, and seasonal tributaries from the runoff eroding channels into the ground. Sometimes, if there has been a windstorm, you will see one area that has quite a few downed trees. This image sows a few downed trees near a stream, with a bridge crossing. This bridge was easily crossed, despite the snow that had accumulated on it. Further on, there was another bridge, where the snow was closer to 3 1/2 feet high, and icy on top.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
