Description

This was literally a drive by shooting of Downtown Portland taken from the I-84 on a early evening. Texture added. The city has som einteresting architecture, and there has been recent development along the waterfront of the Columbia River. However, you can see in this image, residential duplexes mixed into the urban mix. The development of the waterfront area has revitalized the city. When I lived in NE Portland and worked downtown in the early 90's, the city was pretty dead at night; now with so many people living downtown, there are more restaurants and foot traffic!

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.

I currently reside in Oregon, an environment rich in nature's graces. I have lived in California and New York, too, and everywhere there is a world of beauty around us, if we care to take the time and look for it.
