Description

I was very lucky to see numerous moose when I was in the Grand Tetons, and mainly this was because I was frequenting Gros Ventre and looking for them. But on my last day having an hour before the car rental shuttle took me to the airport, I decided to drive up a nearby road to look at the views from that area. It was a very nice residential area, so imagine my surprise when I discovered, feasting on one of the house's gardens, a whole moose family. I was almost too close to get many good shots in a hurry before they moved off.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.

I currently reside in Oregon, an environment rich in nature's graces. I have lived in California and New York, too, and everywhere there is a world of beauty around us, if we care to take the time and look for it.
