Description
Abiquiu Lake painterly
Abiquiu Lake is a reservoir that was formed by created when waters of the Rio Chama, a major tributary of the Rio Grande, was damed. I believe this is one point of the lake where kayaks can enter. It is a recreational area including a beach for swimming, and the Cerro Perdernal Mesa, lays behind it. This area is near Ghost Ranch, where Georgia O'Keefe would spend time during the summer.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
