Description
Anna's Hummingbird Keeping an Eye on the Feeder, No. 1
This little fellow likes to stay close to the feeder in case some other hummingbird should get a notion to drink. For such a small beautiful creature, they can be very territorial and downright mean! What's interesting about The Anna's hummingbirds, is that their heads look dark, almost black from a side angle. Only the males have the brilliant pink throats and crown.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.

Didn't know that about hummingbirds, although considering how much they have to consume every day, I guess it makes sense they would be territorial about a good source! This is beautiful!! L/F
