Description
Counting Salmon - Bear Cubs, No. 3
This was probably my favorite time at Lake Clark National Park - watching the sleepy time antics of these Brown Bear Cub siblings, especially the one in the front. You can see how close their relationship is and while this many not last into adulthood, it is truly touching to watch. There are eight in this series: Siblings Make Great Pillows; My Foot's So Pretty, Oh So Pretty (imagine music from West Side Story); Counting Salmon; I Got Your Back; Unbearably Cute; Settling Down Again; Drifting Off; and Best Friends Fur Ever.
These may be the same bear cubs that were playing and wresting (see Brown Bear Cubs - Before Play, The Provocation, Wrestling Match, Face Off).

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
