Demanding Great Blue Heron Chick, No. 3
I had seen two chicks in this nest a month earlier. But this day there was only one left and the parent on the top. The chick was flapping its wings - strengthening them, but also squawking at its parent. The parent came down to feed the chick, but boy was the chick rough in getting the food as seen in the rest of the series (esp. No. 4) and the parent looked a bit beat up before getting away from the nest.
