Eagle Creek Trail in Winter
This was taken in 2012, five years before the 2017 fire. I so loved hiking this trail in spite its often narrow, steep, hold on to the handrail and don't look down path. On this day, it was especially slippery as there was snow and ice on the ground and sleeting. The trail had a lush, rugged beauty. It pains me to think this beauty was carelessly and intentionally harmed by a teenager who threw firecrackers down into the very dry gorge when there were fires all over Oregon that summer. He and his friends also endangered the lives of other hikers, and caused destruction in one of the most beautiful areas as well as harmed the wildlife that lived there as well.

Welcome to my page! There's a lot of photography here, so feel free to make multiple visits. The work can be viewed in galleries or you can search by keywords or title. In addition, recently, three large prints of waterfalls (Spirit Falls with Reflection, Moon Falls, and Pinard Falls), were bought by the Cottage Grove Ranger District Office to decorate their new work...
