Description
Early Morning Encounter with a Fox, No. 2
I nearly walked into this fox as I got out of my truck to go towards an overlook where there are sometimes elk or moose in Grand Tetons. This red fox was eating something just off the side of the parking lot, so that although we both were surprised and jumped back from each other, the fox remained to finish his meal, about another 5 minutes. I backed up to allow it a more comfortable zone. You will notice it is collared (the collar is supposed to fall off automatically after a period of time), and that it's coat is a mixture of grey and red. The red foxes do have a lot of variations, although in the park there are also cross foxes who tend to be much darker.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
