Grizzly 399 with Her Cubs Playing By Her Side
Although Grizzly 399 and her cubs were quite far out in a field, with my telephoto and tele-extender, I was able to get some good pictures of them. Although a closer proximity provides better quality and sharpness, this is a way to get images of the bears when they are more relaxed - not needing to be as "on alert" as when they are closer to humans, so the poses and interactions are more natural. I wish I could be like Emerson's invisible eye, able to float near them, unperceived, and yet still capture images!
