Description
Group of Mule Deer
Group of mule deer seen in the late afternoon. This was part of a larger herd. Mule deer can be distinguished by their larger ears and black tipped tails. Also their antlers, just starting to grow again in two of the deer in this image (they shed antlers every year due to a drop in testosterone), fork as they grow rather than branch.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
