Innocence and Beauty in a Young Mountain Goat
The Hidden Lake Nature trail takes one up to the Overlook and down to a beautiful lake surrounded by amazing mountains, notably Bearhat Mountain. We had looked for goats on the way down, but only seen them high in the crannies of the surrounding rock ledges, but on the way back up we were treated to a close encounter with a beautiful goat with a tracking collar, and after spending an hour or so with it, were surprised to see an additional number of goats coming over the hill towards us including this young goat, who scrambled over the rocks like a pro but stayed fairly close to its mother.
