It's Hard to Get a Drink When You're the Smallest Critter at the Waterhole
I fell in love these small antelopes when I first saw them in Kenya, 23 years ago, but I felt for it even more when I saw it at the Chudob waterhole in Etosha National Park and also at night at the Moringa waterhole, as I appreciated how difficult and scary it must be to live in a world where most everything is way bigger than you! Just trying to get a drink of water was a Herculean effort. He finally got a drink, but not a long one before he got shoved out by other antelope. They are less than 16 inches tall and 28 inches long. They weigh between 7-13 pounds.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
