Morning Walk on South Steens Mountain
Despite the Spring weather, a layer of snow greeted the day and on a morning walk up the South Steens Loop which was closed for the season, I saw not only this lovely herd of mule deer but a large group of free-range cattle. By the end of the walk, much of the snow had melted in the lower fields where the deer still were grazing.
