Description
Mustang Getting Out of a Muddy Waterhole the Slow Way
A bachelor stallion mustang from the Palomino Buttes Herd exit the pond after the rest of his band, walking carefully through the muddy section of the waterhole to get to shore. The waterhole is normally much larger, but there was a record breaking number of rainless days over the summer and only a couple of days of light rain so far this fall. His fellow band mates had decided to exit at a faster pace in Mustangs Getting Out of a Waterhole the Fast Way. There are two versions of each of these two images, the original photograph and the painterly version, available in my Wild Horses gallery.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
