Mustangs Getting Out of a Muddy Waterhole the Fast Way painterly
A small band of bachelor stallions from the Palomino Buttes Herd exit the pond at a gallop to get through the muddy section of the waterhole. The waterhole is normally much larger, but there was a record breaking number of rainless days over the summer and only a couple of days of light rain so far this fall. The stallion at the rear, decided to exit at a more dignified pace in Mustang Getting Out of a Waterhole the Slow Way. There are two versions of each of these two images, the original photograph and the painterly version, available in the Wild Horses gallery.
