Description
Northern Harrier Hovering
One of several Northern Harriers seen on this sunny late Fall day in William L Finley National Wildlife Refuge in Oregon. Also know as a Marsh Hawk, the Northern Harrier has a flat owl-like facial disc which is key to their good hearing and enables them to find prey more easily. Painterly layer subtlety blended in.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
