These sand dunes border Heceta Beach in Florence, Oregon. After strolling on the beach, my dog and I veered the dunes, a bit harder to walk up and down - the purpose was to explore what was on the other side. Luckily these weren't as huge as some, but still a good workout. On the other side was a very brush area with some marshlands, and a lot of birds could be heard, if not readily seen.
