This pink tropical flower seen on Kauai. The forecast for my Kauai, Hawaii vacation had been rain, rain, rain, for the whole week, but on the second day, the weather suddenly cleared for four days, and it was lovely. There are many sights to see and things to do on Kauai - beautiful uncrowded beaches, challenging hikes, whales, dolphins, birds, and even mountain goats, along with lots and lots of roosters, hens and chicks. One of the most magical places on earth, rain or shine, Kauai is lush and tranquil. Kauai know for its beautiful tropical garden-like environment, especially on the north shore in Princeville and Hanalei. The island had been a bit batter by a couple of weeks of storms and rainy weather but there were plenty of blooms left, although certain plumeria trees were quite bare.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
I currently reside in Oregon, an environment rich in nature's graces. I have lived in California and New York, too, and everywhere there is a world of beauty around us, if we care to take the time and look for it.
