Red Hartebeest
We saw more of the red hartebeest near the pan. I was surprised to learn they can run up to 55 mph and sometimes evade predators by running in a zig zag pattern. A little after this capture, we saw a herd of hartebeest and I suspected a predator might be in the area as heads were all up and pointed out towards the long grassy area. We finally spotted lions really far out in the tall grass. At certain times we could see the tops of the head: a large female and a large male lion.
