Description
The Mark of the Forest Service on a McKenzie River Tributary
Fragments of an orange ribbon show up in two places in this winter scene. Orange ribbon is used by the Forest Service to denote trees that should not be touched in a sensitive areas, when there is work being done there, or to mark areas for future observation (Wikipedia). It should be removed after a while. It is made of plastic or rubber.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
