The South Fork of the McKenzie River A view of the South Fork of the McKenzie River, surrounded by the beautiful fir trees of the Willamette National Forest in Oregon. A nice, if cold winter's day, inspired me to get out and explore an area south of Cougar Reservoir, where I hadn't really been since a fire took place a year and a half earlier. While parts of the forest were burnt, luckily our local fire department did a good job and keep the fire's impact limited in scope. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
