The Vanguard
These horses were alert to my presence, both curious and wary. They are part of a fairly large bachelor band. As colts reach 2 or 3 years, they get evicted from their family bands and then form bands of bachelors. They can stay in these bands until they decide and are strong enough to steal or form a band of their own.
