Description
They Call Me Johnnie Walker
One of the loveliest phrases in all the world is Mi Casa Su Casa which reflects the generosity of spirit most of the people I've encountered in Mexico. This man was working for a resort and trying to get customers for excursions. I had no time, but he was so friendly and charming, I stopped to talk to him. He had lived for a while in California and later on a ranch in Texas, but as a teenager had been sent back to Mexico as he had started getting into trouble. I doubt Johnny Walker was his real name, but perhaps it suited the ideal of himself he wanted to portray. When learning I was a photographer, he wanted to have his picture taken.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
