Common Whitetail Dragonfly on a Blade of Grass
Funny, the day after I post a blog about Dragonflies and Butterflies, I get some more great photographs, first of a Painted Lady Butterfly and then this Common Whitetail Dragonfly, both seen at the Walterville Pond Trail.
Dragonflies always remind of the transformative possibilities and transitory nature of life. They start out life as a nymph, aquatic larva. Loss of wetland habitats are affect worldwide populations.
