Description
Lowell Covered Bridge
A view of Lowell bridge in Lowell, Oregon, framed by a tree in late Spring. It is the widest covered bridge in Oregon. Behind the covered bridge you can catch a glimpse of Dexter Dam. The first bridge was built in 1907, but a truck accident damaged the bridge and it was rebuilt in 1945. Then the bridge had to be raised an additional 6 feet due to Dexter Dam affecting the amount of water flow of the Middle Fork of the Willamette River. In 1981 a concrete bypass was built and the bridge is no longer used.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
