Description
Mount Rainier Revealing Itself, No. 2
The mountaintop had been fogged in for a few days, but just before sunset, the clouds began to shift and Mount Rainier revealed itself. This was taken in late August, and my attention was divided between the shifting clouds and light and a black bear that was foraging in an upper alpine meadow to the left of this scene.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.

Eclectic Captures
Yes, I'm willing to take the hike as the prize is of a beautiful capture is well worth the effort. The purple flowers in the right hand corner is a wonderful surprise to the eye.

Absolutely stunning!!! Is this from Spray Park? I too ran into a bear there!
Belinda Greb replied:
No, from above Paradise. Bears here aren't usual. I've heard they frequent the Spray Park area more, but haven't made my way over there yet!
