Rays Over Fern Ridge
The marsh water was just a bit rippled in the late afternoon an hour before sunset, providing beautiful reflections at Fern Ridge, a natural wildlife area for seasonal birds managed by the USFWS - U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Further out a heron stood, patiently posed to make a strike. There were two suns that day, one in the sky over fern ridge and one in the water itself. This day was a break between storm systems in the Eugene Area of Oregon.
