Description
I love being able to photograph hummingbirds feeding naturally. They tend to like certain flowers and if you're patient will return to them. They're so fast, the light needs to be pretty good. This one was flitting around so much, she did take few rests between her snacks. This is a Rufous hummingbird. On a couple of these shots, you can see the spot of red on there throat. There are cropped versions and also a version of her in flight.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
I currently reside in Oregon, an environment rich in nature's graces. I have lived in California and New York, too, and everywhere there is a world of beauty around us, if we care to take the time and look for it.

So beautiful! Really like the red against the green and your composition has such a nice flow to it. Then of course and Hummingbird sitting still, even if was just for a micro second.
