Description
A Seasonal View
The area where I stood is covered in water part of the year. Fish Lake in Oregon is a seasonal lake. Once the rains start, the ground will get saturated and water will start to collect. When the water levels start to fall, the water warms and the fish that are in the lake will start to use the streams that remain to move into Hackleman Creek. Pretty cool! Also there are historic buildings on this site. This view looks towards a cabin built in the 1920s and on the site there is a grave from the late 1800s of a woman and her newborn child that got stuck in the weather and did not survive the passage over the pass into the Willamette Valley.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
