I was able to capture about 10 photographs of this hummingbird before he flitted away. About 4 or 5 of them were good or interesting to me in some way. This is a pretty high ratio, but I was prepared; I had seem him around that area, and they tend to come back. And the light was good so that I could increase my shutter speed.
In this photo, I love the fact that he appears to be heading straight towards me or at least to the flower that is the focal point of the photo. I also really love the foliage behind him which became this abstract blur of orange and green. One of my favorite things is to shoot wildlife, because I get so focused and intent - a singular feeling.
