Male Ring-necked Pheasant at Malheur, No. 1
A beautiful male ring-necked pheasant at Malheur NWR. There were quite a few males out along the canal, and one that flew away, startled about 4-5 females that had been hiding in the grass unbeknownst to me. Usually they are very hard to get close to, so it must have been breeding time.
