A red-winged blackbird dives to threaten a sandhill crane who continues to calmly stroll through a meadow in Eastern Oregon. I encountered a similar scene in Chincoteague NWR where the larger bird was an egret who reacted very differently, weaving its neck to protect itself from the blackbird. Here the Sandhill Crane chose to ignore the blackbird.
