Description
Cheetah
The cheetah's conservation status is listed as vulnerable, due to illegal pet trade, loss of habitat, predation, and a gene pool with low variability. The cheetah also has a low sperm count, and although it can have up to nine cubs in a litter, few of these tend to make it to adulthood. Known for its speed, the cheetah can accelerate up to 60mph in 3 seconds and can run as fast as 75 mph for short spurts. It is one of few felids with semi-retractable claws, and its closest relatives are the puma and jaguarundi or eyra cat. People sometimes confuse it with the leopard because of its spots, but the cheetahs spots are solid while the leopards have a more complex marking, and the leopard is a much heavier and powerful cat than the cheetah.
There is also an alternative version of this artwork without the typography.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
