Description
I loved the color of the grass gone to seed in this pasture contrasted with the vivid greens of a fresh Spring day. Most people don't see grass gone to flower/seed. Suburban laws are always mowed to the ideal 3 inches. I think it's quite beautiful when it's high and flowing, especially on a nice Spring day.
Grasses or Graminoids are the most versatile life forms. Grasses are the most dominant vegetation in many habitats. May animals eat grass as a main food source. They been grown as food for domesticated animals, like cattle, horses, goats for up to 6,000 years. Graminoids have also been used for paper-making since 2400 BC or before. There are 3500 species.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
I currently reside in Oregon, an environment rich in nature's graces. I have lived in California and New York, too, and everywhere there is a world of beauty around us, if we care to take the time and look for it.
