Kicking Up Dust, No. 1
With the change to Standard time, I scrambled to get back from Malheur to the area where the Palomino Buttes Herd hangs out. My timing was pretty good as a big band that I hadn't seen before was making there way to the waterhole. As soon as they neared it, their energy changed. Suddenly there were chases going on, and rough play, and horses splashing about. After drinking their fill, they returned to the serious business of grazing before the light completely faded. Winter will be coming soon enough and they need to fatten up as much as possible.
