Description
The Self-Assured Saunter of a Stallion
A large band of wild horses were making their way slowly down the slope of the mountainside to another pasture across the gravel road on the South Steens HMA. This stallion followed at a distance behind, taking his time. He was so beautiful with the light in his eyes. When he reached the road he stopped to smell some manure, then lifted up his head to look at me, before joining the rest of the band. I'm assuming he was the harem stallion just from the way he carried himself, but being unfamiliar with the band, I can't be sure.

Nature, animals, beauty have been a source of nourishment throughout my life. Photography allows me to capture, interpret, and share that world of wonder I see about me, and sometimes use what I capture as an inspiration to create something new, by incorporating other exposures, textures or brushwork.
