Three Glossy Ibis
I was thrilled to see the glossy Ibis at the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. They look a bit like aliens with their almost metallic colored plumage (breeding plumage). I loved seeing them mixed in with the Great and Snowy egrets as the color combination against the green Spring grass in and around the pond was beautiful.
