Description
I was coming back from viewing a big group of Onaqui mustangs and counting myself lucky as at first I hadn't found any, when coming back past Simpson Springs where before there had been a herd of Pronghorn, I suddenly saw a big cloud of dust in the distance before the hills and could see scores of mustangs running towards me. I have never seen so many horses running and was so excited. I pulled over quickly, got out and started photographing. There was so much action, it was hard to know where to point the camera. I had read that this herd tends to run in a big herd versus some of the bands I see in Oregon, that only come together at the waterhole, and then coming and going at various times. This was incredible to see and timing is everything. 20 minutes sooner or 40 minutes later, who knows. So thankful.
