Brown Snake Eagle
I was having no luck photographing what I believe was a Verreaux's Eagle-Owl who had been hanging out in a the rafters in a small open tree house near the main area at Edo's Camp, but who upon my approach proved to be too fast and evasive for me. Our host who was nearby pointed out a large bird perched above us in a tree. It was a Brown Snake Eagle, very large, about the size of a small bald eagle. It has a large head, and does prey upon snakes, as well as other reptiles, small birds and mammals,
